The footprint project is used in order for the students and the teachers of the classroom to introduce themselves to the class. What the student does is draw out their own foot on a piece of construction paper, and then with the use of visuals, describe themselves. The visuals should be made up of at least three different types of material (with mine I had glitter glue, crayons, colored pencils, and other paper). A way to incorporate this into another subject matter would be have the kids measure their foots, and then organize them around the classroom by the size of their feet in inches or centimeters. This could help the kids receive a lesson in math, through measurement and sorting based on the data. I feel like this would be a great activity because the students will be moving around in order to place their feet in the correct order.
